Mission accomplished!

Well… Last night was very crazy, everything was going great except for some small technical mistakes. Ben Thanh theatre is a great place for executing events. SIC students are brilliant, they sang and danced very magnificently. We received many good comments and feedbacks from the teachers and the students, but we know that there were some other issues that need to be discussed, and we’ll be very pleased to hear about that.

The White Combination – The Trailers

As I’ve mentioned before about the closing ceremony of SIC, we are now approaching the last quarter of progress and being very excited for working with it. There’s not much time left and we’re a little bit living behind our suggested time plan, but it doesn’t matter if every single member contributes their best for the upcoming days until the CC2009 is held.

SIC Closing Ceremony 2009 is named The White Combination which stands for several meanings, but it mainly means the great combination of different colors, the explosion of colorful entries attended.

9xTeam

9xTeam has accomplished 2 trailers for this special activity, the first one is a review of last year’s programme (2008) and the second one is for this year 2009, a review of entries casting day (10 chosen entries are also presented in the clip)

SIC Closing Ceremony 2009 – Review Trailer

This is the first trailer of SIC Closing Ceremony 2009 that has been published. We, as 9xTeam, have worked very hard these days just to get everyone focusing on our special program in December this year. The first trailer has been developed by Director@9xTeam: Thanh Nguyen and Tris

Try this video trailer now on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9MmQS0LvvM

If you are SIC students or someone else who would like to spend time to support 9xTeam in doing promoting this program, you can pick this video and pass it away to everyone else that you would like to share.

I’m very appreciated about that :-)

Tris won triple first prizes in IT Challenge – Monash University

Hi everyone,

That was amazing that I’ve won triple first prizes in IT Challenge held by Monash University. Wow wow wow =D!  My project was about an online system that helps students practice before tests which is modified with some new features and solutions. A month working alone, day by day, and I’ve reached my goal in which I’ve never thought about how successful it will be, yes never mind about that.

I used the same package as usual: PHP/MySQL/Javascript (AJAX). Hopefully, I will share my source code for everyone soon, just for intellectual purposes only.

I’m trying to get a visa as soon as possible to fly to Melbourne by late Oct. Hope it will be ok and I will be attending the awards ceremony with a special digital festival there ^^

This is a screenshot of my position ranking in Monash University website. You guys can check it here: http://www.infotech.monash.edu.au/promotion/competitions/it-challenge/results-2009.html

Clean Up The World Campaign

HO CHI MINH CITY: CLEAN UP THE WORLD ACTIVITIES 2009

The Australian Government will support Vietnam’s 2009 Clean up the World campaigns, including activities in Ho Chi Minh city on the morning of Saturday, 26 September 2009 at the Phan Xich Long Residential Buidings in Phu Nhuan District. This is the 15th year the Australian Goverment, through the Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Australian Embassy in Ha Noi has supported Clean up the World campaigns in Vietnam.

To support Vietnam’s Clean up the World campaign, the Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City organised a writng competition on the environment for high school students in Ho Chi Minh city. The competition received a high level of support from local schools and students. All entries expressed a strong awareness about environmental issues.

The Australian Consulate General is proud the announce:

- Tran Thanh Lam – year 11 student at Australian Academies: winner of this competition.

- Le Cao Tri – year 11 student at Saigon International College: recognition award for the entry.

- Pham Thi Minh Thu – year 11 student at Bui Thi Xuan High School: recognition award for the entry.

The Clean up the World campaigns was started by one Australian, Mr. Ian Kiernan, in 1989. This year over 35 million people in 120 countries will take part in the compaign. The theme for this year Clean up the World is “Community Uniting to Combat Climate Change”, which reflects UNEP’s World Environment Day slogan: “Your Planet Needs You-  Unite to Combat Climate Change”.

============================================================

That was so amazing that I’ve been the one in the 3 people won this competition for high school students in Ho Chi Minh city. I will honorly remember this, as a part of my life ^^
